Through laboratory investigations, fieldwork, research, case studies, data analysis, and inquiry-based learning experiences, learners study cells and biological organization, body systems and homeostasis, reproduction and heredity, biodiversity and classification, ecosystems, evolution, and the impact of biotechnology on society and the environment. These experiences allow learners to investigate biological phenomena and apply scientific knowledge to real-world issues.
As learners engage in scientific inquiry, they develop critical-thinking, research, and evidence-based decision-making skills. Guided by Lasallian values, they cultivate respect for life, appreciation for biodiversity, and a commitment to the responsible stewardship of God’s creation.
