Christian Living/Values Education in Grade 9 focuses on the mystery, mission, identity, and sacramental life of the Church as the People of God and the Body of Christ. The subject deepens learners’ understanding of the Holy Trinity, the nature of the Church, and the call to participate actively in Christ’s mission in the world.

Through the study of Church teachings, Sacred Scripture, sacramental life, missionary discipleship, and Christian vocation, learners explore the marks of the Church and its role in evangelization and service. Reflection, discussion, faith formation activities, and community-oriented experiences help learners examine how Gospel values guide personal and social transformation.

Filipino

Ang asignaturang Filipino sa Ikasiyam na Baitang ay nakatuon sa pagpapalawak ng kasanayang komunikatibo sa pamamagitan ng masusing pagsusuri ng mga tekstong pampanitikan at pang-akademiko. Layunin nitong palalimin ang kamalayang panlipunan ng mga mag-aaral habang pinauunlad ang kanilang kakayahang gumamit ng wikang Filipino sa makabuluhan at responsableng paraan.

Sa pamamagitan ng pag-aaral ng Noli Me Tangere at mga tekstong nagmula sa Panahon ng Kasarinlan hanggang sa Panahon ng Bagong Milenyo, natututuhan ng mga mag-aaral ang masusing pagsusuri, interpretasyon, at pagpapahalaga sa panitikan at iba’t ibang anyo ng diskurso. Gumagamit din sila ng mga elementong panlingguwistika upang makabuo ng makabuluhang tekstong multimodal na tumutugon sa mga usaping panlipunan.

Sa pagtatapos ng kurso, nahuhubog ang mga mag-aaral na mapanuri, makabayan, at responsableng mamamayan. Nalilinang din ang kanilang pagpapahalaga sa wika, panitikan, at lipunan bilang mahalagang bahagi ng pambansang pagkakakilanlan at pakikilahok sa mga isyung panlipunan.
