We are pleased to announce that our bemedaled athlete, Juan Victorio A. Ongsiako (6-E), passed the Hanyu Shuiping Kouyu Kaoshi ( 汉语水平口语考试 ) or HSKK, a Mandarin Language Speaking Exam administered last December 12, 2020, for non-native speakers such as foreign students and overseas Chinese. Aside from the HSKK, Javi also took and passed the Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎoshì (HSK), translated as Chinese Proficiency Test, Levels 1 and 2 administered by Hanban, Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China last November 2019. Passing both the HSKK and HSK, which approximate the English TOEFL or IELTS, attests to Javi having achieved a specific level of Chinese language proficiency. Congratulations, Javi!
