Heeding the invitation from the Archdiocese of Manila through the Archdiocesan Commission on Youth – Manila, seventeen students from La Salle Green Hills had recently participated in the Local World Youth Day 2024 celebration held at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Minor Seminary in Guadalupe Viejo, Makati City. Dubbed “Those who hope in the Lord…will run and not be weary,” the youth gathering, which took place on November 23-24, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 AM the next day, was in response to Pope Francis’ call to “fan the flame of love” as we move toward the Jubilee Year 2025: Pilgrims of Hope. The overnight event featured meaningful activities, including worship, workshops, and fellowship, providing an avenue for young people to ‘listen to the Word; foster a personal and communal encounter with Christ; and cultivate a trusting heart and an open spirit.’
