Juan Miguel Magallanes Rises as a National Speedcubing Star
Twist, turn, solve, repeat. Juan Miguel Magallanes (Gr. 7-E), known as Uno, represented the Philippines at the Malaysia National Speed Cubing Open 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, showcasing his speed, precision, and focus against top regional competitors.

Uno is currently the Philippines’ No. 1-ranked 2×2 speedcuber and holds the Philippine National Record, while ranking among the country’s top 3×3 competitors. His achievements were recognized through House Resolution No. 1393, authored by San Juan City Congresswoman Bel Zamora, commending him for bringing honor to the Philippines through speedcubing.

Beyond competition, speedcubing develops problem-solving, perseverance, and discipline—qualities that reflect the Lasallian pursuit of excellence. Congratulations, Uno! Keep breaking barriers, setting new records, and inspiring others to solve every challenge with determination.
