Being a Guidance Counselor is no simple feat. It takes an extraordinary individual to practice unconditional positive regard, to listen with empathy, and to see beyond a student’s presenting concerns in order to support their growth, well-being, and potential.
Today, we proudly celebrate and congratulate our four newly Registered Guidance Counselors (RGCs) who successfully passed the August Registered Guidance Counselor Licensure Examination and are set to participate in their official oath-taking ceremony later this year:
• Ms. Anjanet Buenaventura-Cadag – Grade 12 Guidance Associate, Trial 3
• Ms. Princess Dea Galez – IB Counselor, Trial 2
• Ms. Lerry Anne Basa – Grade 11 Guidance Associate, Trial 1
• Ms. Carla Felicitas-Rayco – Grade 6 Guidance Associate, Junior 1
Their achievement is a testament to their courage, perseverance, and commitment to the profession. We are immensely proud of their determination to take on this challenge and reach this important milestone in their professional journey.
With their addition, the number of licensed counselors currently serving at La Salle Green Hills now stands at 14, joining the ten licensed counselors already serving the school. This significant achievement further strengthens our guidance and counseling services and enhances our capacity to provide meaningful support to our learners.
This is also reassuring news for our parents and the wider school community. As conversations continue to underscore the growing importance of mental health and counseling services in schools, the expansion of our team of licensed professionals serves as a meaningful affirmation of LSGH’s commitment to the holistic development, well-being, and support of every student. We are likewise encouraged that more of our guidance associates continue to pursue licensure and advanced professional qualifications, ensuring that our services remain responsive, relevant, and grounded in excellence.
