Last November 13, AltEd presented a HUMSS Masterclass featuring guest speaker Dr. Edgar Calabia Samar to explore “Narratives That Shaped Us: The Social Role of the Arts and Literature”.

Dr. Samar guided our AltEd students in exploring how literature and the arts serve as powerful tools for social commentary and transformation. The session further encouraged the participants to think critically about how storytelling and artistic expression shape both individual and collective identities.
