YOUNG STUDENT LEADERS HOLD BENCHMARKING IN SINGAPORE
An International Leadership Immersion
The Grade School Student Council Organization (GS SCO) held its annual Leadership Immersion and Benchmarking Program at the St. Patrick’s School and St. Joseph’s Institution Junior, both located in Singapore, last January 26-29, 2019.
Sixteen (16) Grade School Student Council officers were part of this activity accompanied by Mr. Niccolo Paolo M. Agcaoili, GS Student Activities Coordinator, Mr. Eugene Paul P. Young, Social Action Coordinator; together with Mrs. Mellany B. Ramirez and Mrs. Sharon B. Pante, GS SCO Moderators.
The LSGH delegation was also joined by 2 faculty members and 10 pupils from the Academy of St. John, a Lasallian Schools Supervision Office (LASSO) supervised school.
One of the highlights of the trip was the reachout visit to Toa Payoh Home for the Aged. This experience further enhanced the SCO officers’ virtues, skills and competencies as servant-leaders. They were exposed to a new culture and atmosphere that will surely help them understand the uniqueness of each individual they come in contact with and they serve.

Overall, all participants brought home a deeper sense of independence, responsibility and self-confidence as well as gained appreciation for other cultures.
