Sixth graders bagged championship trophy in Eco-Quiz tilt

La Salle Green Hills Grade School emerged victorious in the 1st ENVI QUIZ: Search for Young Eco-Champions held in 9th Avenue Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio Global City last November 24, 2017.

Our young eco-champions are: Vito Vincenzo T. Bongco of 6H, Justin Edward G. Figuerres of 6A, Rajeev Kumar of 6A, Gabriel L. Legaspi of 6A and Alfonso Miguel A. Maloles of 6A. The team was coached by our Grade 6 Science Teachers, Miss Princess Caryl B. Lastimoza and Miss Eden D. Cayamanda. Our eco-champions were awarded a certificate of recognition, gold medals, android tablets and a trophy for the school.

The first quiz bee competition was organized by Haribon Foundation as they celebrate their 45th Anniversary. It mainly revolved on Philippine Biodiversity, current news on environment and ways to conserve the environment. It was designed to recognize the capacity of the young children to help save the country’s biodiversity and to appreciate nature and advocate for its conservation.
