MASTER THEODORE D. ABARA RECEIVES HIGH DISTINCTION AWARD
Almost two months after bringing home a bronze medal from an international math competition held in Hongkong, Master Theodore D. Abara once again has proven prowess in mathematics.
Last August 6, 2015, Theodore joined the Australian Mathematics Competition held in Grace Christian College. This contest is run by the Australian Mathematics Trust for students from year 3 up to year 12 in Australia and their equivalent grades in other countries. The contest in the Philippines is being spearheaded by the Mathematics Trainers’ Guild (MTG). The results of the contest were released last September 22, 2015.
This time Theodore received the High Distinction Award. This award is given to a pupil who is in the top 2% of his grade level and in the region where he belongs, meaning the Philippines. Theodore is one among the 10 Grade 4 pupils around the Philippines to receive such award. There were about 400 Grade 4 pupils around the country who participated in the said contest.
