A journey of prayers and intentions

As the Catholic Church dedicate the month of October in veneration of the Virgin Mary, the high school Christian Living (CL) department sponsored a Marian Dawn Procession last October 6, 2018 in partnership with the Santuario de San Jose Parish of East Greenhills Village, Mandaluyong City.

Aside from celebrating the month of the Holy Rosary through this meaningful participation in the liturgical and sacramental life of the Church, CL Coordinator Mr. Liomar Hernandez expressed that the procession also aims to foster Marian devotion in the life of our Lasallians, particularly the Grade 9 students.

Grade 9 CL teachers Mrs. Esther Dollete and Miss Marianne Evalla took the lead in this activity which was also attended by Grade 9 parents, subject teachers and the school administrators. Fr. Alex Magtibay, OSJ, Santuario de San Jose parish priest and LSGH grade school chaplain, joined and headed the recitation of the Holy Rosary.

The LSGH Band members served as the marching band for the activity, after just completing an overnight recollection with the theme, ”Mary Won’t Let You Down.” LSGH Band moderator Mr. Dan Dexter Alvarez remarked that providing the music during the procession was a fitting culmination to the spiritual formation session facilitated to the members last October 5.

The Marian Dawn Procession is another significant initiative undertaken by the school to pay homage to Mother Mary, a central figure in the life of our Founder St. John Baptist de la Salle.
