LSGH High School Student Leaders Host International Students From Japan and Malaysia
The High School Department hosted the students from Nagoya International Junior and Senior High School and St. Joseph’s Institution International (SJII-Malaysia) last June 27, 2016. They had a tour of the campus and participated in fun-filled interactive activities with the members of the Student Affairs Central Body (SACB).
The visit of students from Nagoya was arranged by International Children’s Action Network (ICAN) Foundation to educate students, as world citizens, who can effectively participate in the development of a just and equitable global society. Their visit to LSGH was part of their 15-day study tour in the Philippines. They will also visit Payatas High School, Immaculate Concepcion School of Baliuag, JICA Philippines and a community in Cavite.
The Japanese students were able to have classroom observations, sports activities and participated in the Cooking Class where they cooked their famous sushi dish.
SJII-M is the newest Lasallian East Asia District (LEAD) school; they are on their first year of operation as a Lasallian school. Twenty-two students and two teachers participated in this study tour that aims to expose the visiting students to international Lasallian culture and practice. De La Salle Philippines (DLSP) arranged their Philippine tour of several Lasallian schools throughout the country.
It was a fun and enriching interaction among LSGH students and our student visitors from Japan and Malaysia.
