JUNIOR HIGH SWEEPS HONORS in MATH CONTESTS

Lasallian Mathematicians On The Rise

The Junior High School (JHS) formally closes the school year this March. And what could be a better way to culminate the
year than to celebrate hard-earned achievements that carry on the Lasallian tradition of academic excellence?

The JHS Math department, under the supervision of Mrs. May Maricel de Gracia, proudly announced the series of victories
brought about by the combined efforts of the mathematically-inclined students and their dedicated coaches. With
after-class meetings devoted to rigorous trainings, the team’s hard work eventually paid off with the following feats
from various Math competitions:
A. Metrobank – MTAP – DepEd Challenge (January to March 2019)
With more than half a million student-participants nationwide, our JHS students achieved the following:

For JHS math teachers Mr. Arnie Vinuya and Mr. Emil Louie Licsi, what made their experience in training the students
more meaningful is that they have been a witness to how Lasallians manifest determination to reach their target – be it
in solving number problems, analyzing data computations, or in delivering their academic tasks in between preparations
for competitions. Truly, a resounding Animo cheer for their grit!
