Young Archers Bagged Medals In Math Tilt

The Grade School young mathletes bagged medals in the Math competitions sponsored by  MTAP Metrobank-MTAP- DepEd and AMSLI –ASEP Asean MathSci League Incorporated held last February 7, 2019 and February 16, 2019 respectively.

The Grade 1 Team,  composed of  Master Gertrudo Victor A. Villamin of  1B and Master  Brent Milo N. Balce of  1E, won  silver medal in the Area Finals of the Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Math challenge. They landed as second top scorer among the 30 school- finalists. Being one of the top scorers, the team qualified in the Sectoral Finals which will be held on February 23, 2019 at Chiang Kai Shek, Manila.

Likewise, our Grade 3 mathletes were conferred with medals by AMSLI – AMEP last February 16, 2019 at the Hope Christian School in Makati because of their outstanding performance in the series of written tests given them. The excellent results made them qualify to undergo training in April in preparation for international competitions. The awardees are the following:

Exposing our pupils to math competitions does not only test their ability to solve mathematical problems but also tests their competency in working as a team while hurdling interactive mathematical games and puzzles. These activities and/or competitions will surely ignite their passion for mathematics and will prepare them for the demands of the real world.
