GOING HIGHER in FOREVER

The KUNDIRANA 2018 Farewell Concert

The Kundirana 2018 once again serenaded the Lasallian community with a repertoire of songs spanning decades of well-loved music popular among Filipino music fanatics.

Dubbed as Forever: The Farewell Concert, members of Kundirana 2018 staged their swan song at the Br. Donato Center for the Performing Arts last July 14 in front of delighted fellow Lasallians, relatives and friends. A medley of Elvis Presley’s songs and other classics like Bill Withers’ Lean On Me, and Bee Gees’ How Deep is Your Love entertained even the young generation of music lovers. With songs like Heart of Mine, The Way You Look Tonight, Perfect, I Feel It Coming, Let Me Love You and That’s What I Like, Kundirana enthralled the audience and kept them engaged with such feel-good songs.

Kundirana 2018 music director Mr. Ramon Luis “Monet” Silvestre also showcased his musical acumen through original compositions such as He Has Risen, I’ll Be Still, I’ll Be Healed and Do It for Love. The group’s rendition of No Goodbyes, written especially for the farewell concert, truly evoked nostalgic feelings from the performers and the crowd.

Paying tribute to Original Pilipino Music (OPM), Kundirana saved the best for last as they relived the heydays of OPM rock bands Rivermaya, Sugarfree, Eraserheads and The Dawn through their perky rendition of With a Smile, Kisapmata, Hari ng Sablay, and Salamat as finale in their set list.

Kundirana 2018 is composed of the following senior high school students: Maximo Gerard Aljibe, Amado Contreras Jr., Jose Benjamin Mangubat, John Andre Miranda, Ryan Alberto Murillo, Marcel Alanzo Tuason, Iñaki Gabriel Arellano, Luke Gabriel Casanova, Ernesto Rafael Chavez, Iñigo Luiz Enterezo, Ruzzel Reigh Madamba, Keon Raphaiel Manzanero, Matthew Robert Murillo, Marcus Antonio Santos and Dominic Jason Tobillo.

With the collaborative efforts of the production team headed by Mr. Silvestre, and with Mr. Manuel Lahoz and Mr. Joseph Angelo Santos serving as production manager and moderator, respectively, Kundirana continues to grow in grit and go higher in spreading the Lasallian mission through their music ministry.
