Their Finest Skills on Display

The Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) department of the Adult Night High School (ANHS) continues to implement relevant alternative classroom learning experience to its students. In this year’s TVET Fair held last January 21-24, students of the three different special courses demonstrated their skills to the members of the LSGH Community.

Mr. Christian Dacoron and his Dressmaking class literally and figuratively threaded the needle to make better fit on apparels brought to them by their clients through the Alteration Shop: Alteration at Its Finest. Mr. Jose Albert Mutuc and the Hairdressing students treated their customers to mane and feet services in their Pamper Zone: You Deserve It. Providing gustatory indulgence is the collaboration of Cookery, Food and Beverage Services and the Bread and Pastry Production class trained by Mr. James Randolph Nicdao, Miss Mercedes Andrade and Mrs. Ma. Judith Desiderio, respectively. The ANHS TVET Café: Good Time, Great Taste served sumptuous pasta and rice meals, delicious pastries and drinks to complete the delightful dining experience.

TVET-TLE Coordinator Mrs. Rosemarie Katipunan greatly appreciated the support of the ANHS community and the Lasallian family in general. Not only was the TVET Fair a culmination of the students’ learning; it also develops the financial acumen of the learners which all the more gives them an edge in establishing possible business careers in the future.

Aside from the groups that participated in the fair, ANHS offers the following TVET courses: Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Bookkeeping, Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Computer Systems Servicing and Events Management Services. Ensuring the quality and global competitiveness of its graduates, all the ANHS TVET courses are TESDA NC II licensed.
