LSGH Relief Operations
From the LMO
As of November 18, 2013, LSGH has responded to provide relief to the victims of typhoon "Yolanda" as early as the first Monday after the storm. We have wired a substantial amount of money to the University of St. La Salle, Bacolod from our calamity fund. Assorted relief items that have poured in from generous members of the community were deployed to De La Salle University being the staging area for relief goods repacking and distribution.
La Salle Green Hills continues to appeal for relief items in cash and in kind, specifically bottled water, canned goods, toiletries (laundry bar & bath soap, tooth brush, toothpaste, sanitary napkins, clothes and footwear) for the victims of typhoon "Yolanda".We are also calling on members of the LSGH community to assist in packing relief items which will be deployed to affected areas.
Those who would like to volunteer to repack relief items should coordinate with Ms. Paz Corsino / Ms. Josie Burgos / Ms. Ria Aguilar (ANHS) of the Lasallian Mission Office, 721-200 local 350.
We continue to pray and put our prayers to action by making sacrifices for the good of others. Our Lord Jesus Christ showed us how…so did our founder, St. La Salle. May we find strength and inspiration to really make a difference in the lives of the typhoon victims through our acts of kindness and compassion.
