65-Year Old Grandma Receives HS Diploma from LSGH-ANHS
65-year old Mrs. Teresita Andanar Dionglay received her senior high school diploma from La Salle Green Hills Adult Night High School (LSGH-ANHS) last March 24, 2017. She graduated as Second Honorable Mention of her batch aside from several other special awards bestowed upon her by the school. Married at the age of 19, Mrs. Dionglay had to stop attending school and focused on raising her family with her husband.
According to Mrs. Jackeline Baay, Mrs. Dionglay’s adviser, she is a very diligent and responsible student. She submits her assignments or performance tasks on time. Whenever she is unable to attend her classes, she makes sure to catch-up with her missed lessons, activities and quizzes.
“Nanay Tess” as what her classmates call her, is respected and liked in class. She makes herself available to her peers whenever they have financial or even personal difficulties, and would extend help or give advice even if she herself is faced with her own challenges. She is a caring mother and a mature friend to many of her classmates who are much younger than her, making her all the more endearing to them.
She also relates well with her teachers; always respectful towards them despite her being much older than anyone of them. “Nanay Tess” nurtures a thankful heart – always showing gratitude and appreciation to her teachers whenever she receives recognition or award in class.
